Political analyst Professor Mutahi Ngunyi has given reasons as to why he supports ODM leader Raila Odinga’s Ksh 6,000 promise to Kenyans.
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) boss Raila Odinga promised Kenyans that every household will get Ksh 6,000 if elected president in 2022.
Mutahi Ngunyi who is a big supporter of Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga defended the move saying that 26% of Kenyans live below the poverty line.
He is of the opinion that some Kenyans are not hustlers but sufferers and the 6K promise will help them by a lot.
“SUFFERERS have not hustle. They live BELOW the Poverty LINE in a CLASS of their own. In fact, they are way below the hustler nation. They are 26% of Kenya. And Babaman wants to give them 5% of our BUDGET. What is WRONG with that?” he tweeted.
This has been a debate for a while now and Kenyans are divided on whether Raila’s promise is feasible.
His main competitor, William Ruto, on the other side has promised to create over 4Million jobs for the youth.
