The weekend is here and it cannot get any better without music. Kenyans gearing up for eventful weekend are already learning new lyrics and moves from the just released sounds.
The Nigerian music wave seems to be coming back after a long hiatus, thanks to Gengetone which by the look of things, took its last breathe.

- Chepkosgei FT Khaligraph Jones ‘Okaas It’
Chelsea Chepkosgei did not come to play and since jetting into the country, she has proved that the Kenya music industry was missing a rap queen.
Blessed with rapping skills, she was able to feature Khaligraph Jones in her new single, Okaas It.
Her stardom is taking off and her new song is putting her on the map. The song has garnered over 150K views in less than a week.
2. Nadia Mukami FT Mejja ‘Legeza’
African pop star Nadia Mukami has proven that she still got the mojo and is arguably the best female musician in Kenya.
She dropped Legeza featuring sensational Mejja. Mejja is considered as the best artist to collaborate with in Kenya as he is known for attracting views.
If you want a party song, then Nadia’s Legeza is a song to go to.
3. Sauti Sol
The Africa boy band took a break as a group and has been dropping songs as solo artists. Bien dropped his first single Bald Men last week and Fancy Fingers is doing the same.
His album, Father Figures, is due and he just dropped his second single of the album.
The new sound is named Amanda Pressure featuring lyricist Nyashinski.
4. Nviiri The Storyteller ‘Nikita’
The Sauti Sol managed to nurture new talents under Sol Generation. Nviiri The Storyteller and Bensoul are the two artists signed under the outfit.
Nviiri is a lady’s man and the ne song, Nikita, is dedicated to a lady who got all the features; endowed behind, pretty and bubbly.
5. Harmonize ‘Outside’
We go outside Kenya to our neighbors, Tanzania.
Harmonize has been a force to reckon with since leaving Diamond Platinumz’ Wasafi records.
He has managed to stay in the game under his new outfit, Konde Gang. His music is evolving day by day, a case study of his Amapiano songs that are doing quite well.
