The father of one of the three terror suspects who escaped Kamiti Maximu Prison has spoken for the first time after son was recaptured.
Patrick Odhiambo expressed his disappointment in his son, Joseph Juma Odhiambo, over links with terrorism.
The trio were arrested in Mwingi East near Mboni Forest on their way to Somalia.
According to witness, the suspects looked confused that raised concerns by villagers who tipped off the authorities.
Juma’s mother, Florence Odhiambo, was shocked to hear the news of her sonwho was waiting for an appeal on Monday through a lawyer she contacted online.
To her shock, she couldn’t believe her son was recaptured trying to run to Somalia. She begged Kenyans to forgive him because he needs guidance and counselling.
For Patrick Odhiambo, he is with no remorse as his son got what he deserved. As for Juma’s sisters, they are studying and in college and Patrick said he chose his direction.
While speaking to Citizen TV, Patrick said if his son is added more years in the 15-year jail term, he will find his graveside.
“Atapata Nimekufa aonyeshwe kaburi,” disappointed father said.
