Kitui County Governor Charity Kaluki ngilu has broken her silence after Enziu River tragedy that claimed lives.
At least 20 people have been reported dead in the mid-morning incident where a school bus carrying church choir members tried crossing the Enziu River in Mwingi East, Kitui County.
Speaking at the scene, Charity Ngilu sympathized with the families of the affected as Red Cross help in retrieval of bodies.
She extended a message of condolences to the families whose loved ones died.

“We pray for God’s strength and compassion to comfort the affected families and friends,” she tweeted.
Kenyans are now calling upon Kitui government to prioritize social amenities during the rainy season so as to avoid calamities.
